After watching yesterday's episode and enjoying blogging about it so much I decided I would go ahead and blog the following episode as well. While I cannot commit to doing this recap & reactions long term, if you are enjoying it let me know and I might consider continuing on.
First a quick recap:
- Jill's D-E-A-D Dead! Brilliant...
- The police are looking for Hunter who is lurking around Shortland Street
- Hunter admitted to his father he was involved in the break in
- Daniel has severe brain injuries
- Chris and Gabrielle "make love"
The episode begins with Hunter bumping into Sarah. Hunter basically says Daniel is young he will get better... But Sarah can tell something is wrong with him, she ask if he was involved but he doesn't answer and bolts when he sees the police.
Rachel finds Chris and talks him down, she tells him to come home with her and get some rest, but he see's Gabrielle and say's he needs to talk to her first.
They cover up Jill's body and take her away, Callum is heart broken.
Sarah visits with her son and is heartbroken as she wonders if he will ever wake up again...
Callum talks to the police and they say they cannot find Hunter and ask if he knows anywhere he might be, Callum says he hardly knows his son anymore and cannot help. Then Roimata tells Callum she might have an idea and so they follow that lead.
Chris and Gabrielle talk about what happened, and how he wasn't ready to do that to Rachel, Gabrielle says she will not lie, Chris says he likes that about her. Then Rachel walks in. Rachel says it's time to go, and that Gabrielle can't have him tonight. Gabrielle replies: "I already have, we were just discussing how to tell you we just had sex" (Soapwikijohn's jaw hit the floor at this moment).
The police then find Sarah and explain that why they don't know all the circumstances yet, it does look like Daniel is in the clear and was actually trying to stop the burglary from taking place.
Rachel is furious with Chris, she gave up EVERYTHING multiple times to be with him, to become a part of his family, and for what? So she could be cheated on like all of Chris's other women?
Roimata's ideas don't pan out, but when a patient is admitted that might know where Hunter is, Callum goes all Jack Bauer on him and starts interrogating and going so far as to physically harm the patient, but gets an address.
Sarah finally goes home and Vasa says not to worry about anything she will get Ula to help because there isn't any better contraceptive than having her daughter take care of a baby... oh Vasa if you only knew.
Hunter calls the hospital and receives the news that Jill is dead.
Rachel meanwhile pack's her bags and leaves, Phoenix asks what happened, Chris says they had a fight, Phoenix asks how bad, while Henry says "So you got another girlfriend?" Chris just responds it's bad.
Callum arrives at the address and breaks into the house, there he finds a passed out Hunter, and he can't revive him...is it to late?
Reaction: HOLY CRAP! This season is A-Maz-ING! Like seriously you start off killing one character and then you have the affair come out the next episode and possibly kill off the junkie as the cliffhanger ending? HOLY CRAP! How this show isn't doing gang-busters internationally I just don't understand, this is by far my favorite show of 2012 so far, I hope it will keep it up.
