Home and Away Actors Sing at Carols in the Domain

The 28th Woolworths Carols in the Domain concert was held last night in Sydney, featuring many homegrown talents singing everyone's favourite Christmas carols. While it heavily featured singers discovered from reality shows Australia's Got Talent, the X-Factor Australia and the now defunct Australian Idol, other talent came from soap Home and Away, including Georgie Parker (Roo Stewart), Jay Laga'aia (Reverend Elijah Johnson) and Justine Clarke (ex-Roo Stewart).

Pictures after the break.

Jay Laga'aia was the first of the Home and Actors to perform, with the children's classic 'Frosty the Snowman' and was accompanied by last year's Australia's Got Talent winner Justice Crew, who delighted the crowd with their awesome dance moves. Also appearing from Australia's Got Talent was this year's winner Jack Vidgen, who sang two carols.

Georgie Parker performed on the Carols stage in a stunning black and cream strapless dress (unfortunately I have not been able to find out who the designer was!), and gave us a fabulous rendition of the classic 'Winter Wonderland'. Georgie has a fantastic voice - I wish they'd use that on Home and Away a bit more.

Justine Clarke came onstage for two songs - the first time looking for Santa and singing 'Is That You, Santa Claus?', and then again after Santa had been found (with a little bit of help from X-Factor Australia's Michael-Jackson-dancing-illusionist Cosetino - he was awful by the way), where they all chimed in together with Santa to sing 'Jingle Bells'.

Woolworths Carols in the Domain is a free concert open to the public. It usually airs the weekend before Christmas and is broadcast through the 7/Prime network around Australia. For more information on the event, visit their website.
