Yeah I thought I'd do this again tonight - just to see what Brax ends up doing with Charlie.... Updates to come during the ad breaks... (I've tried to group together stories, so it doesn't flow exactly as screened if that makes sense). Here we go...
At the diner - Colleen goes on and on and on about poor Charlie and the shame of what Sid did to Stu at the formal etc etc. Alf and Roo sit at a table and discuss what happened. Out at the farm, Sasha doesn't want to tell anyone what Stu did to her. She's embarrassed it got that far. Sid says ok. Dex goes off at Sasha that they should be able to explain why Sid did what he did. Sid tells Sasha and Dex that it's ok. On the beach, Romeo tries to calm Dex down
Ruby asks Sid questions about the process of turning off Charlie's ventilator. She wants to know if she can be with her until the end - she breaks down crying. Great scenes by Rebecca Breeds here. Kudos. At the hospital, Ruby tells Charlie she loves her. Brax pleads with her not to turn off life support. Ruby asks him not to make it harder for her than it already is. Brax asks for a minute alone with Charlie, Ruby leaves the room. Ruby asks Casey if it's the right thing to do. Casey supports her decision. In Charlie's room, Brax barrs the door - he sits by Charlie's side saying "noone's going to take you away from me" - Ruby looks on from outside the room.... cut to ad break!
Security is called at the hospital - Sid asks if Brax is likely to hurt himself. Casey doesn't know, he's never seen Brax like this before. The police arrive and clear the hallway. Brax is looking bad - Charlie's machines start beeping - her ventilator needs adjusting. Brax lets Sid into the room. Sid fixes the ventilator and Brax makes him leave. Casey makes a run into the room and Brax pulls a gun on him. Casey tries to talk sense into Brax - telling him he knows Brax loved Charlie, she believed in him, don't let her down now, don't let her faith in him be for nothing. Brax allows Casey to take the gun out of his hands, and he leaves the room giving the gun to the police. Brax runs to Charlie and crouches over her, crying.
Back at the farm, Sasha leaves for work. Romeo and Indi talk about the situation. This gradually leads to their previous fight about Romeo lending the money to Mink. Indi wants Romeo to get a job - she's worried what will happen if Sid loses his job. Indi says Dennis is looking for a sales person at the development site - Romeo agrees to investigate.
At the diner - Dex asks Roo to talk to Sid. Sasha turns up for her shift - she spins some lie to Roo about feeling safe. Dex's phone beeps - so does half the kids' phones in the diner. It's the nudie pic of Sasha she sent to Stu last year. Oops. Can you say viral??
Ad break
Brax sits outside Charlie's room in handcuffs. Casey and Sid fight for Brax to be let go. Constable says there has to be consequences. They try to appeal to her good side saying (essentially) what would Charlie do, she's your colleague and friend blah blah blah. She lets Brax out of the handcuffs saying do not make me regret this. Ruby comes over to Brax and asks him if he'll stay (when she turns off the ventilator) - Charlie would want him to be there.
Sasha confronts Stu about the picture. His Dad says everyone should know what sort of girl she is. He barrels Sasha up against the wall. She cries, Sid comes in and roughs up Stu's Dad. Stu sits in bed looking - I don't know - not happy. Back at the farm, Dex apologises to Sasha. They make up. Sid comes into the room - he's been fired from the hospital; he's not that surprised after what had happened. Roo comes to see Sid - she's got something on her mind. I think she's breaking up with him. Yep, definitely breaking up with him. Sid's being hit with both barrels today :(
Ad break
In Charlie's room, Brax and Ruby at her side, the ventilator is gone... Charlie's heart monitor flatlines. Casey (who was standing at the door), walks backwards out the door....
Tomorrow on Home and Away... Brax doesn't go to Charlie's funeral and when he does turn up to the wake, Ruby lets him have it.
