Uh oh, looks like there is gonna be a bit of a shake up in the Bay this year as Home and Away series producer Cameron Welsh has stepped down and Lucy Addario will be taking his place.
Welsh's reign over Home and Away has been a tad controversial, taking the show into darker territories and examining some highly debated plot lines (including Charlie's blink-and-you-miss-it lesbian experience with Joey). While I don't have a ton of background to compare Welsh to yet, I think he created a great series during his tenure, the only problem is that the series wasn't Home and Away.
I really hope that Ms. Addario will examine what Home and Away was all about back in the day, and re-establish the roots of the show back to family and become the character driven show that I fell in love with and not the plot driven drivel of the past few years... but a serial killer is always appreciated :)
