Am I An Ejami Fan Again?

So, in a world where story lines don't exist, is it wrong that I am turning into an Ejami fan all over again?

Okay let's explain a bit of backstory first.

I was the BIGGEST Ejami supporter back in 2006 when the character was first introduced. But from the moment E.J. Wells (James Scott) became Elvis Junior Dimera I have disliked every single moment, especially from the "R" on.

But recently a well known soap blogger made the comparison that "Sami / EJ/ Rafe are the Days Of Our Lives equivalent to Guiding Light's Holly/Roger/ Ed." Since then I have been looking at the couple in a new, pardon the pun, light.

I am now, for whatever reason, able to look past the "R" that has been holding me back, and I now see EJ and his schemes as adorable in comparison to Sami (Alison Sweeney) and her ....well is she done crying yet? Sorry....

Anyways I think this is my coming out as an Ejami supporter, so is anyone with me?

  1. Yes! Come into the light (of darkness) and embrace your love of EJami! They are capable of being something great together, they just need to be given that chance. Nothing beats the interaction between Ali Sweeney and James Scott. Smokin!!!

  2. I love them soooooooo much, but the whole "R" situation just left a horrible taste in my mouth and I just couldn't support them. But now that I am thinking of them as "Roger and Holly" and that the relationship isn't all....icky (LOL) I am starting to really enjoy there scenes and rooting for them to get together, which feels so weird considering I have been fighting them off for what the past 3-4 years? LOL.

It sounds like you have been living in a state of "Denial" just like Sami has, when it comes to her true feelings about EJ and Ejami! Goodness, we could debate the whole "R" but not willing to even go there. All I will say is that if you have been watching Sami as long as I have, you would know that what Sami says out loud and what she really feels in her heart do not always agree.

Sami has always loved EJ but, because of her family's strong feelings against the Dimeras, plus the fact that she has always been the black sheep of her own family, has made it hard for her to reconcile her true feelings from the feelings that she thinks her family wants her to feel. If Sami had not forgiven EJ for the deal they made on that night so long ago, then she would never have slept with him again, with the result being her getting pregnant with Sydney.

Just because she doesn't say that she loves EJ doesn't meant that she doesn't love him. Her actions speak louder than her words. Plus they have both really hurt one another, and that can only happen when you love someone. Indifference is the death of love and they have never felt indifference towards one another. There story is one of Epic Proportions- as big to me as Scarlett & Rhett. Denial, I know EJAMI will get their happy ending and hope that you will be along for the ride as an EJAMi lover again!

  4. Hey @Pamlau1!

    (Just followed you on twitter!)

I know, I have always been able to kinda flow with Sami's feelings for EJ, but I was so bored with the crying and the tears (I swear that's all she has been doing since the "R" happened...well with the exception of her trying to get revenge, that part made me smile :) )

Anyways I don't think I 'denied' Sami's feelings, but more the fact that it was just so icky that I didn't want to even think about them being a couple lol. But I think they have equally hurt one another, and that if they really want to, and the story is written correctly, a reunion would be perfect!

I just wonder how they will write them out of the corner with EJ being the sydneyzzZnaper

  6. Oh yes, been an Ejami fan since day one...though not always a Sami fan because I think the writers have just taken a hatchet to this woman and chopped away the things that made her interesting, her backbone, her spirit. Not a coincidence that this massacre has become more total with the introduction of Reefer. However, we still get glimpses of that woman she was in her scenes with Ej which is why I am definitely an Ejami fan.

The R never bothered me because I never really saw it as such. It was an arrangement, a blackmail and that is the DiMera and definitely Sami's MO so it fit completely with the characters at that time. Oddly, the thing that DOES make me PollyAnna deflate is Sami's constant refusal to give in to her feelings for Ej, we get little glimpses here and there but 4 years of denial (see what I did there)(giggles) when she can so easily fawn over that douchetard Reefer is hard to stomach. I need more of an investment from Sami and want HER to be the one trying to break down Ej's walls for a change.

Hopefully we're getting strong Sami back soon!

Oh and I wouldn't wish that doucehtard Reefer on a dung beetle so no Ejafe for me! Give me Ejami or give me Ejady if you must! (laughs)

  7. Nancy, I'll gladly take Rafe off of Sami's (and everyone else's) hands, lol!! He's so freakin' HAWT!

And I agree with your take on Sami. My problems with Sami started years ago. I think for some reason the show wanted to have Sami as a vixen *and* a weepy victim. Eventually the weaker side of Sami became more dominant. I really don't know why they did that. They should have kept Carrie or Greta, kept them as the "good heroine" types and that would have freed up Sami to remain the b*tchy, feisty bad-ish girl that goes after what she wants (yet is also sympathetic).
