Hey all, sorry about the delay, I told y'all this would be complicated to pull off! But nevertheless I am at least gonna finish blogging the first week, so let's get started.
Recap:
- Gabrielle tells Rachel everything and Rachel packs her bags and leaves
- Uva takes care of Tilly, and we get lots of hit over the head "SHE'S KNOCKED UP" storyline
- Hunter runs away from Shorty after talking to Sarah, he later calls the hospital and finds out that Jill has died. Making one of the best choices of his life, Hunter takes a bunch of pills and downs it with some booze...yea Hunter smart, real smart.
- Callum finally finds Hunter, but he won't wake up, is he to late to save his son
The police, T.K. and Roimata show up and help Callum, he says Hunter overdosed and isn't doing well.
Harry meanwhile bugs Phoenix saying its only a matter of time till the "next one" moves in...
Hunter arrives at the E.R. and they begin work on him, it's not looking good...
Phoenix meets up with Rachel and he basically says he is "Team Rachel", to which I totally agree with!
Harry meanwhile talks to Gabrielle outside of Chris's office and asks when she is gonna be moving in. He would much rather have her around than Rachel... (and again I see why I never liked that little kid).
Rachel meets with Callum and says she is stepping in, not for a power struggle or anything like that, just trying to take over and help out while he takes some time off, he says thank you.
Ula takes a pregnancy test and meets with her boyfriend, she tells him she is expecting, initially he is shocked and doesn't know what he wants her to do, but she is set on having the baby, she asks if he will be there while she talks to her parents, and he agrees.
Gabrielle meets with Rachel and the two sort of hash it out, Gabrielle says she regrets what happened and she is sorry, but Rachel isn't buying it, and kindly asks her to leave her office and go count things if she must. Yep that's the Rachel McKenna I know and love.
Ula tries to tell her parents but chickens out cuz her boyfriend isn't there...
The next day Rachel holds a meeting with all those in charge, she just says Jill was an amazing nurse and her death will have an effect, but we need to remain strong for our patients. Chris tries to talk to her afterwords but Rachel doesn't want to.
Ula goes over to her boyfriends house and is shocked to learn that the entire family got up and moved away!
Thoughts: A decent episode of Shorty, its more of a building blocked episode where not a WHOLE lot happened but people just react to the preceeding day, I really want a Rachel vs. Gabrielle snark fight and I cannot explain how happy I am to see Chris Warner driving story again, Ula I have never cared for so her pregnancy storyline does nothing for me yet, but that could all change here shortly (pun totally intended).
